Snowboarding's not just a sport. It's passion... big time! Passion that takes you beyond your own limitations toward top-class performance ratings... and top-class fun! Funky's mission is to work toward unrivalled performance ratings and unique, unbeatable experiences. Funky is the first 100% Made in Italy entirely handcrafted snowboard brand.

If this is your job, but you're a snowboarder too, then you'll be wanting to get the very best out of each board you produce. This is why the care and attention that goes into our boards is unrivalled.

Young people and their role in the world of Italian crafts

Isacco finished his studies as a designer at the IED school in Milan. Then, with friends Stefano and Mitch, he decided to go back to the firm his father and uncle had started up in the eighties, and take it back to the times of its winter sports triumphs.

Funky is a new, innovative idea. It brings Italy's artisan traditions and the young fun world of snowboarding under a single roof.

The materials are selected with great care. The components are masterfully assembled. The boards feature new graphic solutions and new technologies for constantly enhanced performance ratings that attract the attention and praise of top sportspeople.

Thanks to targeted use of the web and social networking practices Funky Snowboard quality has made a name for itself. Craftsmanship and young people meet. Craftsmanship becomes a truly contemporary practice that blends innovation and success. The success of Funky Snowboards - now one of the most popular snowboards on Italy's slopes (but not just in in Italy!).

The web is our main communication and trading instrument. Through the web people from all over the world can find out about our crafted snowboards.

Isacco Mantegazza explains in 6 lessons how young people, next-generation technologies and crafts traditions can combine to produce unique snowboards with absolute top-class, unrepeatable performance ratings!
